Hi everyone!
I'm trying to find a specific scene from The Mary Tyler Moore Show
or the spin-off Phyllis with Cloris Leachman as Phyllis Lindstrom.
In this scene, there's a misunderstanding triggered by the phrase
"I'm waiting for my pupa" (or something similar), leading someone to
mistakenly think Phyllis is pregnant and the baby has no father!
The scene involves a living room with several people, then Phyllis
opens a door on the left side of the screen to a maybe male visitor.
It's a short scene from about 40 years ago and I could have lost or
changed some details. Does anyone remember this episode or scene?
Thanks so much!

This is probably a Phyllis thing, since it doesn't sound familiar from MTM.

I haven't seen Phyllis since the original airings years ago.

Me thinks it was on her own show and I loved every episode but can't remember this dialogue at all. I always loved how outrageous her character was on both series. I wish it continued for a 3rd season because the cast had some really funny, quirky characters!

Yes, I enjoyed that show when it was on. There are fan made DVDs "out there" but I wish a legit release would come out for this show.

“You’re Not Getting Better, Just Older” is the one where Phyllis pretends to be pregnant to get Mary to visit her.
