When Nickelodeon launched Double Dare in 1986 little did we know that this game show would become a monster hit for Nickelodeon from 1986-1993 but I never knew that this show had so many facts that was interesting but weird. I didn't even know that Dana Carvey had been considered as host for Double Dare but you can see why he turned down the hosting job and it went instead to Marc Summers because Double Dare was THE show that made the crown prince of Nickelodeon game show hosts. And you can see why Feather Pillow was never again played in the obstacle course because I think in general it was a hard challenge for the players to win. But how they came up with Pick It and challenges like In One Ear is beyond me. But when you get the general picture I think Double Dare was Nickelodeon's most cheapest game show to create because it was Nickelodeon's first ever game show in history I think at first they were afraid it was gonna not survive but thanks to monster ratings the show indeed became a hit. But if you look at Nickelodeon's game show history Double Dare and Legends Of The Hidden Temple are the two classic Nickelodeon game shows that everyone talks about more than Finders Keepers or Make The Grade and Get The Picture
