When Nickelodeon launched Double Dare in 1986 little did we know that this game show would become a monster hit for Nickelodeon from 1986-1993 but I never knew that this show had so many facts that was interesting but weird. I didn't even know that Dana Carvey had been considered as host for Double Dare but you can see why he turned down the hosting job and it went instead to Marc Summers because Double Dare was THE show that made the crown prince of Nickelodeon game show hosts.
