TVLand at the last minute changed their scheduled episodes and skipped over A small Mafia favor. Fortunately I taped it when it aired on UPN57 (WPSG). I wonder if they will show it the next time around?

I was wondering what happened to that episode too. Speaking of Archie, what happened to part 2 of the AITF episode where Archie, Edith and Stephanie go to California to visit Mike and Gloria? Very weird they didn't show either episode. I hope they don't skip Mafia Favor during the next rotation.

Sometimes they (whether it's TVLAND or UPN) airs both of them as a Christmas episode, because it takes place during Christmas. Better luck trying to get it next time. Take Care.

They finally showed Part 2 of that Christmas episode. They showed it like a week apart from part 1. That didn't make any sense, but N @ N doesn't make much sense to start with.

Oh tell me about it. They did get better to a point, but I remember when they aired the Mary Tyler Moore show. They constantly skipped over the pilot and Chuckles Bites the Dust cycle after cycle, and I wanted to see both of those episodes so bad in 1996. I ended up seeing the pilot for the first time at the Museum of Broadcast cummunications along with Edith's Death and the first Maude, and I bought the tape. Chuckles Bites the Dust was aired once at the end of the year on account of their Classic TV Countdown. After the countdown, they skipped it again and I just bought the tape at a Wal-Mart. Now I see that TVLAND doesn't skip those two episodes, and they are Nick at Nite's younger sibling.

TVL does have it's quirks. They refuse to air one episode of the Munsters. I think it's ep 53- Herman the Peacemaker. Basically the whole Columbine deal/school violence is stopping it from airing.

I watched my 1998 UPN 57 (WPSG Philadelphia) recording of" A Small Mafia" Favor today since I do not think I will see it on TV Land anytime soon. I looking forwad to tapeing a TV Land vershion since their editing tends do more Justice to the episde then the editing on the UPN 57 syndcated episodes. At least I have the Episode allready.

Oh, the only reason I thought they skipped over both of them is because of their significant classic quality. I assumed that Nick at Nite did that so that people would keep watching the show over and over so that they could "keep looking" for these two episodes.

As for "The Munsters" that is "political correctness" at one of it's most bizarre. I don't think that kids take those ideas to heart especially this day and age. It would be like skipping the "I Love Lucy" episode where Lucy arrives in Hollywood and Bill Holden accidentally lights her nose on fire. According to these clowns, they might think that it "gives children ideas to light people's nose on fire". Uh-oh, I better shut up. This post might give them the idea to do so.

I'm telling ya, it is sad when you have to censor classic shows. What about Jackass on MTV? Kids love to redo the stunts from that show and they get hurt doing that. I heard one college guy died a few days ago by impersonating one of the stunts from the movie. It's funny they don't censor that, yet they censor classic tv episodes. How could I forget what they did to Beavis and Butthead? Some kid burned down his house or something and the parents blamed it on B & B. This was years and years ago when that happened. That's why Beavis couldn't say 'fire' as much as he used to.

As for the burning house thing, I remember the episode of "The Simpsons" where Homer goes back to school and he sets fire to a fake diploma and while he turns around and sings "I am so smart, I am so smart", the walls behind him catch on fire. Now I am a die hard Simpsons fan, and that was on a network television show. Beavis and Butthead was a cable network show, but it prevailed. All they had to do was put a warning before each episode. I think it would be stupid, but I wouldn't mind them doing that before that Munsters episode. At least the fans would be able to see it again.

Yeah, I suggested that over on that Munsters thread. They could show it at 3 in the morning if they are that worried about people copying it. I don't record TM, but I can understand how some of these people feel that do record it. Oh, I got every episode but one. I can't even have the full collection because of that one episode. I know that has to be a pain. To be fully honest, I doubt another major station picks up the Munsters. I don't have many classic stations over here that dedicate itself to showing classic shows. Unless some local station picks it up, that's the only way to get it.

I saw this episode 20 years ago when it originally aired (I hate to say that because it implies my age) and barely remember it. The synopsis refreshed my memory a little that Murray gives a signal that was misinterpreted as a hit signal. Is this too violent for TV land? It doesn't make sense-there have been more violent episodes aired of AITF (Edith's attempted rape, the JDL member getting blown up in his car) so I don't understand why TV land won't air it.

For trivia's sake, this was the last episode of the season and thus the last episode where Edith is alive.

I really and truly don't understand where TVL draws the line between the eps they'll show and the eps they won't show. As you pointed out, AITF had some controversial eps and TVL aired them before.

You'd think they'd work out some sort of comprimise so the fans can see every episode of a show, whether it be controversial or not.

Well I am thankful that they are pulling to get ABP episodes. THe well doesn't seem as dry as it used to be. LOL.

I do have to admit you're right. I'm glad I didn't delete my episode guide. I can still keep track the eps I record.

It turns out he is at the bar to supposedly to negotiate a mob peace settlement with a rival boss Tony Bremmer. Vinny and Tony sit-down in the restaurant section the two agree to a territory settlement. Vinnie tells Murray to signal his car a and tells Tony has to go to the bathroom, What Murray dose not realize is that his signal was not for the car but for Vinnie’s henchmen to shoot down the Tony Bremmer. Murray realizes what the signal was really for and ushers Veronica to flee into the kitchen. We see the Henchmen firing the guns on camera. Harry Barney and Hank At the bar have seen everything. After the Shooting and Murray and Veronica are coming out of the kitchen Vinnie walks out of the bathroom looks to the off camera location on the shutdown Tony and says smugly “ Gee this is offal somebody better call the police. Harry picks up the phone at the bar and Vinnie smugly takes a drink. Latter Archie convinces everybody that they should not tell the police about what they saw for their own safety. Later a call comes in for Murray that Vinnie has been shot down in front of his mother house supposedly by Tony Bremmer’s men as retaliation. Murray later gets a message Vinnie wants to see Murray at the Hospital. After Vinnie talks to Murray about the old days and where their friendship went bad Vinnie asks Murray to hold his hand and the Heart monitor flat lines and Vinnie dies.
