I want to add a picture that will be part of my signature (not the avatar thumbnail on the side) that will appear with each post at the bottom center of the page. Anyone know how to do that? (I.e., not a one-time picture.)

Let me see if I can explain it. You got the pic saved on your computer? Hopefully it is a JPG file, because I get confused with BMP files in sigs. Anyway, attach the pic to your post. See the little slot underneath post your sig? Click Browse. Say you got it in My Documents or something. Go to My Documents and find it and click it. The file ought to go in the small window. When it pops up. Right click on the pic. Go to Properties and get the link in properties. Go to Edit Options (I think) and put the link in the window for the sig. Go like this: [ I M G ] Link goes here [ / I M G] Close up the spaces. Hope that helps!

Let me see if this works:

Right click on my Archie and Edith pic in my sig and go to Properties. You ought to see this in the property box. It's gonna be a link this long.

That is my attachment. I take the link and I put the [ I M G ] before it and the [ / I M G ] (remember no spaces) after it. Let's try it with it.

Yeah, you can get it from a disk. I'm just wondering something though. Did you get the pic from a website? Can you get the picture alone without any text or any other pics? Try getting it from a link if you found it there. You can copy the link from your browser into the slot and it will attach. You'll still have to do the properties step. It might work that way.

I see the picture only appeared once. How do you make it show up each time you do a post? I'm also not sure how to save it under jpeg.

K

Let's try it. I did the properties jazz, now go to User CP and get into Edit Options. Put this link in the window.

Put the [ I M G ] before and [ / I M G ] codes. That oughta work. Remember no spaces.

Where do I find properties? And I can't find anything on user options other than changing avatar.

OK... I'll help. When you're in user cp find the link that says Edit Profile and when you click it and scroll down there should be a big box now fill that in with your code it should say like "signature" near it. Paste whatever code you want into that box and it will appear for example [ I M G]your link here[ / IM G] accept no spaces.

Do the [IMG] codes need to be highlighted in blue? I'm not getting anywhere by pressing the ones next to the signature space, they're not highlighted.

Ok, I don't know what this highlight crap is lol but all you do is before the image link put [IMG] and then after the image put [ /I M G] thats it...

Kristina

for example in that box put...

[I M G]http://www.klangundkleid.ch/img/plakate/kozik/KZ95-031.gif[/ I M G]

except no spaces in between the letters in [IMG], get it? You don't have to highlight anything you just type that in that box.

Here is the exact code...

(IMG)http://www.klangundkleid.ch/img/plakate/kozik/KZ95-031.gif(/IMG)

except change ( to [. I'm bad at explaining stuff, sorry.

Okay, so if I wanted to post a picture from a disk (one of my own illustrations), would I be able to do the same as well? I.e., [IMG]
titleofpicture.jpg, etc? I don't see why not...
