I think she's guilty and if she is, she should get what any one of us would get. She shouldn't be treated any differently because she's a celebrity.

What did she do... she stole, right?

Ya, duh, of course she's guilty... I could go rob a bank right now and I'd get caught- if she did, then she'd get caught too. Same difference.

In my happy opinion, she's still a person- and people should be treated equally when it comes to the law, regardless of political, celebrity, or class status.

Well, of COURSE she's guilty, and of COURSE she should get punished!! She's just an actress, that doesn't make her not a law abiding person. Anyways, she stole $5,000 worth!!!

She'll be found guilty, but she won't go to jail.

They'll plea bargain it to community service.

I think part of that community srevice should be going door to door apologizing for "Autumn In New York."

roflmao!

Frankly, I've never been so f'n sick of hearing about a celeb before. If she's guilty, she should go to jail. She shouldn't get by because she's a celeb or she's got money. If she isn't guilty, then okay.

Oh c'mon! "I hurt my arm so I can't go to court" I remember that and she faked the wrong arm haha what a loser. She should go to jail and a mental ward cuz obviously she is some crazy kleptomaniac (she has done this more then once...), she needs help.

Okay, I forgot some things. How many times did she change her story? I wanted to go outside for a smoke. I was practicing for a film. The director set me up. I think I missed a few stories, but those are the ones I can remember.

I guess she's guilty. I don't know & I don't really care. I'm pretty sick of hearing about it though. It seems to me that the media has been harping on Winona forever, and other celebrities that have done something "bad" weren't given as much attention as her. The way she was brought up may have made her a little crazy. Did anybody watch her E! True Hollywood story? I'm not saying that growing up in a weird family makes somebody steal b/c there's no excuse for something like that unless she klepto. I think it's sad b/c I like Winona and if she can get by w/ it (which I don't think she will) good for her.

You know, they might have found her guilty but what about jail time? Let's just say she really did do it. She does some community service and stuff like that, but no jail time. Isn't that kind of unfair? I bet if they caught me shoplifting they would throw me in the tank for a few years. The same prob. goes with any normal person. Celebs are people too and I say if they commit a crime they should do some time too. jmo

yeah, they could have put her in jail for up to 3 years, but she just has to do community service and refund the money...

I thought she was innocent. My vote would go undecided because well, theres alot of evidence against her, if she had the right defense, she probably would've gotten by. and i think u should really look into the case before u start saying things. I believe she was treated unfairly. In most grand theft cases, you get the plead bargin and it would be charged as a mismeandor, but because she was a celebrity they wanted to prove that they dont go easy on celebrities. I watched this case for days now and if i were a jurior i would've said she was innocent because i cant decide if shes guiltly or not, so i would've just said she was innocent because if she was innocent, i wouldnt wanna put her in jail for something that is a mistake. She was harassed because she was a celebrity and treated differently-whether she did it or not, she shouldn't have to go thru that.
