about where was Jolene opening her own beauty shop. Was in it Pheonix? Was tommy already in college and if so what year and his future plans. Now that Mel had sold the diner what was he going to do next? Im all about closure lol

It was an amazing finale. But you are right, instead of flashbacks it would have been nice to get one last update on what was happening with Flo, Belle, and even Carrie as part of the closing dialogue.

Tommy was playing BB at Arizona State but that storyline had pretty much been underdeveloped.

We can assume Mel was going to be spending a lot more time at Turf Paradise and in Vegas. But he was too young to permanently retire. Surely he would be getting involved in another restaurant. He still had his secret chili recipe.

Looks like no one was even watching the show during the last season. Look at the numbers for the Finale:lol:

Alice was run into the ground but thankful it had a final episode. Its crazy to think The Jeffersons ran for 10 or 11 seasons and no farewell show.
I don't think they would have mentioned Flo or Belle since they both left because of a hostile work environment.
But it was a decent way to say goodbye

Thats because the writers and producers of Alice knew when to call it quits and wrote in the finale on their own. The Jeffersons keep going and didnt write in a finale and left it in the hands of the CBS executives

Its very sad :(
