The show E/R which debuted in September of 1984, had Sherman Hemsley guest star on the show and appear as his character on the Jeffersons-George Jefferson. I found out he guest starred on the two-part pilot. Does anyone know about this show E/R and Why did Sherman Hemsley appeared as George Jefferson? Also who from this show E/R played on the Jeffersons in order for Sherman to appear as George Jefferson. My only guess is one of Florence friends-but then again i really don't know. So if someone can help me that would be great.

I saw that episode only once, but as far as I remember George was supposed to be the uncle of one of the nurses on the show, who I think was played by Lynne Moody, who ironically, was the first Jenny when she appeared on AITF.

That news to me-I never knew there was a Jennycharacter on AITF only the Jeffersons. Or do you mean Helen?

I had heard about that show. I never saw it though.

In the AITF episode "Lionel's Engagement" we were introduced to Jenny, her parents, and Mother Jefferson for the first time. Mother Jefferson was played by Zara Cully who continued the role in the Jeffersons, but Jenny and her parents were played by different actors. In addition, in this episode Jenny's father is called "Lewis". When Jenny and her parents reappeared in "The Jeffersons Move Up" they were now played by the familiar actors and Lewis Willis became Tom.
