Guess I'll try The Dentist's Office. How's that doing?

I heard episode 2, "The Waiting Room," involved someone finding a Reader's Digest from 1972.

And a bright light, the hot guy Noah. The curly haired middle Eastern looking guy. NICE LOOKING. :eek:I might just watch cause of him. :)

And East Hollywood DMV is fictional. No DMV there. There's a DMV in West Hollywood and one in central Hollywood. But not in East Hollywood.:D

While ABC, NBC, and FOX all had something new on the scripted side in January, CBS was all repeats or unscripted. None of their scripted shows return until the last week of February. What sitcom was set in an unemployment office?

There was a short-lived sitcom starring James Coco titled Calucci's Department that aired in the fall of 1973 but it was clobbered in the ratings by NBC's Sanford and Son and was canceled after only 11 episodes. It was one of the few sitcoms to be produced in New York in the early 1970s.

I don’t remember that one. I see it had 11 episodes. DMV has a few more, which makes some sense. You’d rather get stuck wasting time at the DMV, then be at the unemployment office. At least you still have a job.

Some critics suggested CBS move it away from Sanford and Son but it never happened
