i didn't like the fact that mrs. g's and jo's weddings were rushed. ok, mrs. g had to get married and leave the next day and she had been married before. but jo...she hadn't been out of college for a year and it was just rushed. i didn't like it. i really think the writers should've made it at least two episodes.

i agree with you there. Jo's would have been better as a two parter

You're right. At least Mrs. G. got a two-parter. They rushed Jo's wedding in every way, from the choice of her husband to the actual wedding, IMO.

That does make sense, I would have let the episode last longer than it had originally, and they rushed both weddings, thinks were changing too fast.

Everyone knew the series was coming to an end and the writer's just wanted to get the show done and over with. I guess they were just tired of it and wanted it to die. That's why they couldn't think of a better finale than Blair buying Eastland. And they could have at least have Natalie be in it for more than a minute. She wasn't even in the closing shot and Pippa was. She was there for one friggen season and Natalie was there for 9, but noooo, they had to choose Pippa over Natalie.

that's what pissed me off. pippa had been there for what three months? nat had been there for 9 years. she should've been in that last seen. and in the pic rick took...not pippa.

I agree, Natalie should have been in the photo, Pippa didn't belong there in the first place. Natalie had been there way longer than Pippa, she was there for one season, she didn't make a difference. She really had no need to be in the picture becuase she wasn't an important part in the series, Natalie should have belonged in the closing shot, Pippa didn't have to take over.

if you ask me, she had no need to be in the show at all. it appeared to me that all she did was annoy jo blair natalie and tootie. but i guess Andy needed someone his own age. i think the show would have been just as good if pippa had never shown up, imo. sorry to the pippa fans out there, it's just how i feel

I think why they added Pippa was to get younger female viewers. Lisa, Nancy, Kim, and Mindy were in their early 20s or such, and the writers prob. thought that a 13 year old girl couldn't really relate as much to Blair, Jo, Nat, and Tootie. B, J, N, and T were out experiencing college and working and marriage. A 13 year old could dream about each experience, but they wouldn't be experiencing it at that moment. They added Pippa to get the younger viewers interested and to have the character going through similar stuff as the viewers at home would be doing.

Yea, plus the whole 'Aussie' craze was in. People wanted to stay as far away from Europe with the fall of communism and all the new changes, so they looked down to their neighbors in the South Pacific.
