Okay, I know a lot of you met lisa...whoever did please post what day you met her and when..and if you have a picture post that also. I'm working on the "Sitcoms Online" section of my scrapbook and need all this information.....so please, if you have any pictures or even if you don't - just write where and when you met her...it'll help me a ton..thanks!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Lisa Whelchel twice. Once on Sunday January 13, 2002 at The Fellowship of The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas. Then I got to see her again Saturday January 19, 2002 at Lifeway Christian Store in Webster, Texas.

I have a couple of pictures. The first one is from The Woodlands.

I've never me her. But, I do have a questions for the people who have met her. How is she? I mean, is she nice, or not, really. I've always thought, when someone is a good actress, are you really meeting them, or are they just acting? Just curious.

I've never met Lisa either. From the stories that people have posted and the pictures, I don't think the niceness is just her acting nice. I think she sounds very nice and down to earth from the stories I've read.

Lisa was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She's funny, talkative, and friendly as heck. She's not stuck up or anything like that. Her family is also nice too.

Well, I met her twice. She was really nice and just down to earth the entire time. I think the cutest part was when I gave Lisa the dominoes I made for her, she got so excited she called Haven over to show them to her. Lisa was just going on and on about them and Haven got this look on her face like "mom stop, you're embarrasing me" :lol:

In other words, yes I believe it was the real Lisa I met.

Hey everyone. i didn't get to meet Lisa Face to Face but i did get to meet Mindy.

I'm at Ryerson University in downtown TORONTO CANADA. last year ABC filmed the FOL Reunions's 'EASTLAND INTERIOR SCENES' just off campus - at the St. Mikes Parish Hall. I walked by there one day and i say MINDY walking in my direction on the sidewalk - from one of the trailers. I was surprised to see her. I said "hey mindy, how are ya!!!!" she looked really surprised and said "i'm great how are you". i just stood there like a dope with my mouth open - and she laughed. It was funny. I also saw Lisa walking in a hurry on her cell phone. But the highlight was Mindy- she's my favorite.

Anyway thats about it.

:rock: I'm really glad to hear that Lisa is truly a nice person. I had always hoped that she was. She seems like it when you read her journal, but you just never can tell. Some people seem so nice on paper, or on TV, and in real life they are total jerks. So, thanks for the reports. But, now I am totally jealous, because I've never got to meet any of the girls. :crying:

i emt her once. next time i'm gonna go to one of her signings some time in the future, with black lipstick and put a lot of gel in my hair to get it all weird and then have LOADS of eyeliner and a black shirt that has ozzy holding up the "hell" sign and giving the thumbs up with a blak skirt thats too short with bondage straps and black fishnets and black lace up boots and a pentagram around my neck.... AND WHITE FOUNDATION!... And see how far that "Christians accept everything" thing goes. Not because I hate her or anything... I just like harassing and scaring innocent human beings... A ctually that outfit isnt going that far from what I wear normally... Cept my ozzy shirt just has "ozzy" on it, and i dont have bondage straps or a pentagram. Or white makeup, but I wear eevrything else (well almost, I wear dark purple lipstick.)

lol thats funny. I wore a gray sweater... and gray pants... OH and that girl... Blair whatever then a # who everyone hatd from NJ... I met her. She didnt talk to me but we saw each other and i knew it was her and she knew it was me and so we gave each other dirty looks.

You actually think Lisa Whelchel would come to Iowa (Note that in the season premiere of the sixth season she stated she did to be with her boyfriend) but huge stars like them think Iowa is nothing but a pothole in the United States. But if she were come to Des Moines my parents said they'd take me there :)

No Offense, but are you maybe a little bitter about living in Iowa?
I don't know if Lisa has been to Iowa or not, but I'm sure she just goes where she is booked to go. I don't think she tells her manager, "book me anywhere in the US, but for heaven's sake don't make me go to Iowa!" :eek: Heck, she went to Springfield, MO, and that is basically no where.
Keep checking her schedule, she'll probably be close to you sometime. :)

Today I met Lisa In Green Bay at the Shopko Hall. There was a convention their of parenting. Lisa spoke about being a parent and her books she wrote to help adults to raise their children better. There was a stand and it had her one of her books "Creative corrections" and "The facts of life". They also were selling a picture. I bought a picture for $5.00 and when she was done with her speech she would sign autograghs. I got a autorgraph of her and also a picture. She was very sweet.
