An I Love Lucy beach vacation:

(The Ricardos and Mertzes arrive on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.)

Lucy: “Ricky, it’s so good that you are performing on this ship.”

Ricky: “And that it’s even better with you not on the show.”

Lucy: “Oh.”

Ethel: “Lucy is in a castle making contest with Carolyn Appleby.”

Lucy: “Yeah, she thinks she is so good. I will make a spectacular castle…Ricky?”

Ricky: “Absolutely not. You have made the sheets and the blankets now go take a nap.”

Ethel: “What does he mean?”

Lucy: “You made your bed now lie in it.”

Ricky: “Never mind. Come on Fred. Mr. Band Manager.”

Fred: “Ok. I don’t want to see what Ethel looks like in a bathing suit.”

(They leave.)

(It’s 12a. Six hours before the contest. Lucy bangs on the Mertzes door.)

(Ethel answers it.)

Ethel: “Lucy.”

Lucy: “Ethel will you help me make the castle?”

Ethel: “Lucy why did you wait until the last minute?”

Lucy: “Because I was tired and I forgot.”

Ethel: “Ok. At least I won’t have to listen to Fred snore.”

(They make the castle. It’s morning just before the contest. Lucy & Ethel are covering the castle. The men are there.)

Fred: “Let’s see the creation.”

(They do. It’s like their poor excuse for a barbecue grill in “Building A Barbecue.” The boys laugh their heads off. Lucy cries.)

(The judge sees this.)

Judge: “The winner is Lucy because Carolyn’s castle was washed away due to the tide.”

Lucy: “Oh my.”

(They celebrate as Lucy is awarded the prize.)

Lucy: “Since Ethel was allowed to help, she gets this too.”

Ethel: “Oh.”
