And to think Ben Franklin wanted to have the turkey be the national bird of the US, but instead they chose the bald eagle. Wonder what we would eat for Thanksgiving is they stuck with Ben's decision. ;)

Have you ever noticed there are no TASTY state birds?? They're all based on ones you don't eat....

Washington's state bird is the goldfinch. Too small.

I can just imagine a cute innocent lil turkey getting killed so some fat trailer trash could have the turkey and only eat a bite and throw the rest away, one animals life wasted. I think I should kill a person and cook em, hey its the same thing as killing an animal they are living.

umm I was just trying to make a point, I just find it sick that some idiot eats something from a cow, chicken, or turkey so on and eats one bite and throws it away knowing what happened to that sweet animal, and it also sickens me that some stupid ass beer belly evil geek beats an animal to death so they can have a piece of chicken. Now that is ****ed, beating an animal with a bat so they could satisfy their fat ass. ahem sorry but thats how I see it, as it says in Megans signature EAT BEANS, NOT BEINGS!

I agree with you totally. BUT I eat meat. I gave it up once, for like a week but I couldnt do it. I only eat chicken and turkey (mostly cold cuts) but I refuse to eat veal and baby meat. I wish I couldnt eat meat--But I cant do it- I like it. Doesnt make any sense, but I hate hunting season. I remember when I was younger Id hear gunshots in the woods and start screaming things @ the hunters. I used t hope we wouldnt kill the animals-- we would wait until they died of old age and then ate them. And dont EVEN get me started on fur coats and leather....

The thing is I eat meat, I haven't for like 2 weeks though, I'm trying to get off of it ever since I recieved meat from KFC that was all bloody. I really didn't think much about how meat is made even though I knew, I just shoved it down my throat. I don't like this cruelty to animals and I'm trying to stop eating animals I mean meat.

oh, don't get me wrong, i understand where you are coming from. i was just jokin with ya.

I'm crossing my fingers over the elections in Turkey where some pro-Islamic figures have just been elected and "promise":rolleyes: to keep their country a secular state.....


Btw, did you know that Turkey was named after Kemal Attaturk in 1922, who thoroughly modernized Turkey and ended the rule of the Ottoman Empire?
