When country music star Kathy Mattea made her debut in the 80's she was gonna be a rising star in country music but during the 90's I read that Kathy Mattea put her career on hold because she had surgery and then she recovered and released the album Walking Away A Winner in 1993 and then she switched genres and sings folk music now. Was this because Kathy Mattea hoped to be as big as Patty Loveless and Wynonna in the 90's?

^^^ I only know that if you go here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathy_Mattea_discography#Singles), you can see a list of what went to radio from Kathy and how well each song did for her. Her last top five song was the 90s release named "Walking Away A Winner". :) :) :)

God bless you and the lady legend always!!!

Don't know much about her but I do remember one song she recorded, I think it's called Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses.
