View Full Version : What did you used to listen to?
Kristina 11-02-2002, 06:39 AM C'mon we have all had obsessions that have ended and hate now. Whats some of the old stuff you used to like but can't stand now?
Mine:
The Spice Girls (they got boring)
Britney Spears (she turned more electronic and um yah baby one more time was her only good cd imo)
Ashanti (she is just stupid now)
umm thats all I can think of
AllIWantIsYourClutch 11-02-2002, 10:29 AM Spice Girls
Hanson
Backstreet Boys
Britney Spears
*Melissa* 11-02-2002, 11:17 AM Green Day... I used to tape their songs off the radio all the time, now they just annoy me.

but anyway i used to listen to oldies and Ive always listened to country. Ive been stuck on hanson for 6 years now... go ahead, make fun....
Krisalicious 11-02-2002, 01:26 PM NSYNC....I have all three of their cd's, I had a million posters of them on my wall, and I even got really really mad when I tried to go to one of their concerts n it was SOLD OUT! Don't like them too much anymore though....oh yeah and I thought JC was the hottest hehe well he was! I don't like him now anymore either but back then...mmmm
Georgia's on my Mind 11-02-2002, 01:28 PM britney, christina,.....and a long time ago celine...
britt britt 11-02-2002, 01:33 PM I used to love the spice girls, me and my friend always tried to
be like them. but we were only 8!
Jinny Girl 11-02-2002, 01:41 PM Spice Girls (until they broke up)
NSYNC and BSB but only for their first albums. Rite before NSUCK released their second album I came to hate their video and their new abnormaly girly styles (think s back at justin in a tight sweater singin "We got a moon man" while shaking his ass and cringes)
Britney (i went to one concert and have 2 cds. After the 2nd came out like 2 1/2 years ago i didn;t like her new sluttyness)
Christina (that litterally lasted half a week)
Kelly Osbourne (shes changing her image too much and now looks all high maintenence... i mean see the diff between how she looks now and how she looked when the osbournes started or how she looked a few years ago? its odd)
And i liked Avril for about a week. Then I got her CD and read some articles and she always contradicts herself and so i dont.
I am oficially the only person on EARTH i think, who ALWAYS hated hanson with a passion.

Same here. Except for Lisa's album, I just can't get into it. Why is it we have to listen to bands and performers who provide only ANSWERS AND SOLUTIONS, rather than be REAL artists and deal with REAL life?? And get so damn POPPY and TRENDY????:barf: I tune into Christian radio and it's a bunch of sugary pop-fluff that holds ZERO interest for me. I was going through the Christian bookstore and saw this poster/standup board for some cute kiddies called Jump 5, sposed to be some Disney-type Christian swill, and I got the message right off: CHRISTIAN MUSIC IS CASHING IN ON THE PRE-TEEN KIDDIES, THE TEEN TROLLOPS!!!! There was NO RAAAAAAAAAWK music for guys MY age anymore, unless you want to be put to sleep by country-pop/light-white R&B stuff. It has NO relevance to my Christian life. Any REAL good Christian music (the late Mark Heard, Bruce Cockburn, King's X, U2, music BY Christians) has been shoved by the wayside. I have a guitar, I should start writing my OWN stuff rather than complain about it.
ABlairican Pie 11-06-2002, 12:27 AM Gawwwwwd, I love that new RANT smilie.:D
Mr. Stefani 11-06-2002, 08:30 PM Sugar Ray, until they decided to sell out.
