It has been announced that Disney Channel Canada will shut down Disney Junior Canada and Disney XD Canada as well as La Chaine. And Disney Channel Canada will keep operating as a English language channel. To me it seems like an odd move for Disney Channel Canada to consider because in Canada there is lots of competition in Canadian kids TV like Nickelodeon Canada Cartoon Network Canada and Teletoon and I think they will move the Disney Junior Canada and Disney XD content to Disney+ Canada and develop a new French language Disney Channel. And I think Disney is very serious about opening a television animation studio in Canada to develop all new Disney cartoons exclusive to the Canadian market
