View Full Version : What’s a child forum? opus 07-05-2025, 03:43 PM It’s a check or uncheck search option. 322956 Dude111 07-05-2025, 07:11 PM Yes the child bases are the SUB BASES in that section Opus...... In the CHIT CHAT section for example there are these "child bases" music movies and sports. Play word games. CHIT CHAT is the parent base in that section while Jimmys base "Movies" is a sub-base.. (A child base) It helps to be able to UNCHECK the box to search every base in that section if I know the thread I want is on the 'CHIT CHAT' BASE :) Its easier on DB usage also....... You can search for ONE DAY AT A TIME and uncheck "Search child forums" and IT WILL ONLY SEARCH ALL THE PARENT BASES ON THE SITE.... (If you dont limit it down) opus 07-05-2025, 10:25 PM I think I’d call those sub forums (which is also where we post about those yellow things The Beatles lived in). I don’t think ODAAT has any. Although of course Valerie should be one. Dude111 07-06-2025, 01:09 AM Yes Val should have one :) stevea 07-06-2025, 05:37 AM Of course! How could that have been overlooked? Dude111 07-06-2025, 02:59 PM Ah man!! (If you dont limit it down) It would be easier to just go to Chit Chat and Search this forum. It searches all the Chit Chat boards. That's why I have all of the Chit Chat boards as sub-forums. https://www.sitcomsonline.com/photos/searchthisforum2.jpg I think I’d call those sub forums (which is also where we post about those yellow things The Beatles lived in). I don’t think ODAAT has any. Although of course Valerie should be one. They are called sub-forums in the vBulletin options and child forums in the phrases. They became child forums under General TV Discussion. :p Dude111 07-07-2025, 06:02 AM Hehehe |
