It's no surprise that Patricia Heaton won the Emmy the same year.

That episode is actually one of my least favorite. I can't help but wonder if Joanne ever had such moments while she was married to Robert because she treated him like dirt on normal days too.

This episode was absolutely awful. The concept is OK, but it went WAY, WAY too far.
Descending to physical violence? Lady, you need help!

^^^ She probably went so far because of the way that Ray was all the time no matter what the circumstance.
