I have "NewsRadio" on tape three times each. First there was the original broadcast, then I taped reruns on MVC and finally reruns on A&E. I have noticed the cuts from MVC are different from A&E.

A&E has brought the opening credits back, whereas MVC always had the fifth season short opening.

"Pilot" goes uncut until the second commercial break. The episode returns with Dave telling a crying Matthew that he's the new news director. The deleted scene was Matthew talking to Ed and getting insulted. Then Matthew walks over to his desk to cry and Dave tells him, which is where A&E comes in.

"Inappropriate" they cut out the scene in which Dave actually tells Matthew that he's not being fired. Instead they go from one scene straight to Dave asking Lisa out to lunch.

There are many more, and if anyone is interested I can go on and on.

I know a few more cuts that A&E has made.

In "The Cane", they cut part of the scene where Dave and Lisa are in the breakroom. I think the A&E version cuts the part where Catherine gives Dave the jar of pickles to open and goes straight to Bill getting his bottle opened.

In the episode where Jimmy takes his vacation at WNYX, there's a very interesting cut. In the original airing, Jimmy is seen playing chess with Catherine and then playing Battleship with Bill. The syndie cut, chess was left in while Battleship was cut. On A&E, it's the opposite.

In "Bill Moves On", A&E cut the scene where Jimmy tells Dave his eulogy sucked slightly and left in the scene between Matthew and Lisa. Whereas in the syndie version, the eulogy sucked scene was shown in full and went directly into the group reading letters scene.

TV Adam, would u sell any of your newsradio tapes? cause i was taping them off A&E and i have every episode except for Meet Max Louis, Lucky Burger, and Stinkbutt.....and now i cant get them cause A&E isnt playing them anymore..:(
