Season 9 ended in May, so they started with the pilot and were up to Season three on Friday.

Then today they restarted the series with the pilot again??

Depends on what exhibition package they got. Stations only get a certain amount of plays for each episode of the series.

I don't watch the channel, but have they burned through any episodes with a marathon or late night showings?

Antenna has aired Alice since 2017 I think so I can't believe this was done to fulfill some sort of contractual obligations.

If the schedule is correct season 1 continues next week then on 7/14 they jump into Season 4 at the spot the series would be at if S3 had continued. WTH??

If they're employing a newer Master Control software system like Softron (I haven't done any of that work in nearly 20 years and that was with Wide Orbit) it is probably automated with what seems like random results based on what has been mentioned here.

I don't know what day it happened but this week they jumped back into series at the point it would have been chronologically, contrary to the schedule on Antenna's own website who still shows Season 1 thru Friday.

Yep, Antenna has a healthy commercial load, especially top of the hour episodes.

Yeah but we are all lucky that we have Antenna TV. Its being dropped by cable providers all over the country. Was it not dropped by Xfinity several years ago and the pushback made them bring it back. Its probably the largest classic sitcom channel out there. MeTv is good but airs too many really old stuff that is not my cup of tea. Logo airs Threes Company and Mamas Family. Without Antenna TV I would be lost.

I wonder if they are dropping it BECAUSE it is getting worse??

The market for classic TV is not huge. We on this board are the exception. Millennials, Gen Y and Z grew up with the internet as children. Reality TV is what they grew up with. They don't know nor do they care about sitcoms from the 1970s or 1980s.
Its sad because when I watch a classic drama on MeTv like Barnaby Jones or Cannon I am amazed at the scripts and the acting. In those days there were sensational writers and people went to acting schools to act really well. Today anyone can be on a show or movie. I just admire the craft from the 70s and 80s when we all watched TV and it was quality. I dont think someone in their early 20s today would even have patience to sit down and watch an episode of Alice and they would not get the jokes because the context for many of them is no more.

Yes its sad also because they dont know what GOOD is........
