It's one of the episodes on that VHS and DVD series of Lucy shows, not all the best choices, but some are!

I think this was one of the best episodes from the later seasons that I actually did like. Lucy's scheme was really good and I was glad to see her that she showed some of the "cleverness" that we once saw with Lucy Ricardo. And for once her plan didn't backfire, she called it off herself when she realized that the Beans were actually good!

Actually, this episode was rewritten by Phil Leslie from one of his "Fibber McGee and Molly" radio scripts from the mid-'40s. The situation was the same:
Fibber hopes to make a million dollars (or more) by taking advantage of a soup company's "double your money back" offer [in this case, it was mock turtle soup!]. The same payoff happens at the end, as Fibber can't bring himself to go through with the scheme, because he discovers, to his horror, that he LIKES the soup! All Leslie had to do was rewrite and update the story a bit, and tailor it for Lucy.

That episode was pretty good. It looked like it was really her driving the forklift too.

One of the very few great episodes from the California seasons! Yes, indeed, Lucy Carmichael acts very much like Lucy Ricardo!!

It was also one that I always managed to miss when it was Nick @ Nite. It wasn't until a public domain issue before I saw it.
