Five years after The Partridge Family ended, Shirley Jones starred in a self titled drama Shirley that only lasted one season of 13 episodes. A pre-Growing Pains Tracey Gold played one of her daughters who was 8 years old. Their family moved from New York City to a small town in California after Shirley's character became a widow. The family dog was named Oregano. :D Being on against Fantasy Island and The Incredible Hulk must have been too much, although only Fantasy Island was in the top 30 at #28. James Garner probably didn't like Shirley. It led into the final season of The Rockford Files which was only 12 episodes, first time Rockford did not have a full 22 episode order.
