"Meanwhile, in what may potentially cause some confusion, the name of the Paramount+ With Showtime linear TV network on cable, satellite and internet TV streaming services (like Hulu with Live TV) will not be changing, according to Paramount," explains Variety's Todd Spangler, adding: "The company rebranded the ad-free package as Paramount+ With Showtime in the summer of 2023, and said it would eventually phase out the stand-alone Showtime streamer (which shut down in April 2024). Now, after two years, the company is dropping the Showtime name from Paramount+." The pricing of the package remains the same: It still costs $12.99 per month or $119.99 per year.

What it looks like to me is that Paramount is gonna get rid of Showtime and rebrand it as Paramount Movie Network and by changing Paramount+ With Showtime to Paramount+ Premium means they will probably put all the Showtime shows on Paramount+ but if they rebrand Showtime as Paramount Movie Network Paramount+ will most likely see a rise in subscribers and I think they will compete with Peacock because Peacock has Peacock Premium too. And most likely Paramount+ Premium will raise it's price once the holiday season arrives. Because when you look at it Paramount+ is trying to be the most popular streaming service next to Netfilx Amazon Prime Video Disney+ and Hulu and with shows like Mayor Of Kingstown Star Trek Strange New Worlds Yellowstone and Landman and with Showtime's shows such as Dexter Original Sin and The Chi this seems like a smart road for Paramount+ to travel on and regain it's subscribers. Will the price of Paramount+ get raised with Paramount+ Premium's debut or will it remain the same for Walmart customers and Walmart+ Members too
