I audit The Brady Bunch (https://www.reddit.com/r/bradybunch/)! Ever wonder how Mike Brady, the patriarch of the iconic TV family, affords his lifestyle? From his sprawling suburban home to his housekeeper and vacations, Mike's expenses seem to know no bounds. But can he really afford his lavish lifestyle on his architect's salary? Let's dive into the numbers and see if Mike Brady's dream life is financially feasible.

In the 70s possibly, today I doubt it

With regard to the quote, the King's Island and Hawaii trips were semi business-related. So it's possible those trips would have been at least partially funded by his company.

The home isn't that lavish. It would have had no more than three bedrooms. You'd assume that, if six kids have two bedrooms among them.

I'm thinking 5 bedrooms. Alice had her own, and I STILL stand by my belief there HAD to be a guest room somewhere in the house. I'm just basing this on 2 episodes, one where Marcia impulsively invited the great grandparents over to spend the night, where were they supposed to sleep, especially with no notice to anyone. And the aunt Jenny episode, I know someone said she slept in the girls' room, but that would have been WAYYYY cramped.

I feel there COULD have been more to the house, behind the family room, like leading off from Alice's quarters. I know in a floorplan someone drew up there was something in that area to make it even with Alice's room behind the kitchen. Also there is that "mystery door" at the top of the stairs

I forgot about Alice's room.

Where did Aunt Jenny stay? I don't think we know, but maybe in the guest room.

I guess a guest room occupant would use that busy bathroom with the three entrances.

It never said where Aunt Jenny slept, I THINK she was shown with a bag in the girls' bedroom, so some ppl deduced that she slept in there, but I just can't see that, as cramped as it would have been
