Nothing speaks more of a movie than what the fans and general audiences learn about the movie over time. In a world of paparazzi combined with the internet, everything is shown to us in hyper speed, and people can get an idea if something is gonna be good or not. Power Rangers is no different, the hype towards it’s reboot was a bumpy ride for fans and those associated with the project. It makes me curious as to what actually happened.
Hype for this movie begun in 2010 was it was revealed the Saban Brands, ran by original owner and creator of Power Rangers, Haim Saban would buy it back from the Walt Disney Company, promising a new series in 2011 on Nickelodeon, reruns of past series on Nicktoons, but mentioned alongside those plans was another one, which according to NBC News was a plan to bring a Power Rangers Movie in theaters for the first time in more than a decade. The last Power Rangers movie at the time was of course the Turbo movie back in 1997, and it had been 13 years, with the original owners back in position for a new decade, a movie would of course come to plan.
