Now this may have come from the MPI set Jackie Gleason Timeless Treasuries, but that set doesn’t have 20 full length episodes like this guy claims.
I did buy it. It’s only around $20.
cloggedmind 06-20-2025, 10:57 PM In-ter-esting. Contacted the seller for some details. Might grab one out of curiosity.
The pictures he shows is from this video:

Frank Gannucci 06-28-2025, 05:22 PM Thanks. I did purchase it last week.
I’m still awaiting shipment.
cloggedmind 06-29-2025, 05:08 PM I believe that this would be just a collection of what is already out there based on the description the seller provided. As far as the dates vs guest lists are concerned, the math ain't mathin' and I think it is mainly the 1960's versions that are already in pd collections.
This is the detailed description directly from the seller:
"they are dual lay disc so they hold more episodes so about 8 to 10 episodes per disc depending on runtime. as for which episodes some episodes are by number other episodes are indicated by guests three episodes dated s02e02 09/26/1953,s02e0410/10/1963,s02e07 10/31/1953

I don't believe the 1952 show had any any 16mm copies but quality is very decent"
I guess I'll pass on this unless something really unique turns up on it.

Thanks. Considering that the YouTube page clown jewels has the announcer announcing the sketches (some of which aren’t available anywhere) and considering that this seller has some or all of clown jewels footage, I am wondering if the set has more announcers announcing Honeymooners sketches which aren’t available anywhere.

Do give us a full rundown once you have the set in hand. Curious about what the sources are.. Didn't Showtime air episodes with the introductions (before they were chopped to bits for syndication)?
Frank Gannucci 06-29-2025, 06:52 PM I will see.
I’m not sure about Showtime. I do have I believe is a rare copy of What’s The Name sketch with the Jackie Gleason Show closing credits from Showtime. At least I think it’s What’s The Name sketch. Regardless, it’s a rare piece of footage.
JohnXXVII 07-04-2025, 11:59 PM The listing on eBay is confusing, but I don't think he's offering 20 episodes from the 1952-53 season. I think he uses 1952 because that's the year the Jackie Gleason Show started on CBS. I think the episodes he offers are throughout the run, with most of them being from the 1960s.
cloggedmind 07-05-2025, 01:15 AM Yep. If the guest list is accurate, these would be episodes already floating around the trading circles. Some hour-longs were mixed into the 12 and 30 disc sets sold on Ioffer and other places (used to be a torrent, too!). Phyllis Diller is one that was sold separately and, thought not in this set, usually alongside other shows that made it to the "official" dvd releases but chopped to bits-- like the ones with Bob Newhart, Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca ("Bee-cee-clay-tahhh!!" Heh!!)
Frank Gannucci 07-05-2025, 06:27 AM Not to mention, I paid for them two weeks ago and he still hasn’t shipped them out yet. He does say he encountered electrical storms on June 29 (I purchased them on June 19.) He does say that he will ship them out.
Frank Gannucci 07-07-2025, 08:33 AM He finally got around to shopping it. It’s on its way from Connecticut to my house in Bonita Springs, Florida.

The set has all but one episode from the 1960s. It has syndicated episodes of the JGS that were syndicated in the 70s and 80s, poor soul Xmas special and the JGS from the 1950s that has Anniversary gift sketch. The menus have incorrect dates.
cloggedmind 07-10-2025, 09:53 PM Ah, just re-treads, then. Thanks for the rundown.

What a shame that he used a pic that Crown Jewels used in his listing. The usb port that he gave me that has variety shows (including potentially the Colgate Comedy Hiur that Jackie did a test run of the Honeymooners) doesn’t work on my TV, PS4 and computer. Now to be fair, he says it works with most devices. I asked him what to do in regards to this and no response yet.
