In this episode, when the girls are screaming in their tent and Mike runs to them, what does he do to his foot?

I think he steps on something because he is REALLY limping, not acting--you can tell. Maybe he stepped on a pine cone or rock.

Isn't Robert limping when he is going back to the boys tent? I always just thought that it was part of the script.
