Long, frought recording process, infighting within the band, new producer who doesn't understand/wants to change their sound, lineup changes, evolving cultural landscape...

What are some albums that had some/most of those issues, but still managed to be good?

I don't know if this album fits the asked for description, but to me, the second pop album from LeAnn Rimes is the best of her pop releases. Whatever We Wanna is the name of it, and it was released in 2006. Her last album was released three years ago. It may have been considered a pop release as well. I only know that God's Work is the name of it. I look forward to whenever a new country album from her is released, but it could be a while because her newest project is a leading role on the upcoming TV show named 911 Nashville.

God bless you and LeAnn always!!!
