Its mentioned in a news article from Nov of 1979 that a episode of Happy Days was scheduled to air in early November of 1979 but was postponed to December because of the topic.
Based on the episode guide, it was only 3 eps aired in December of 1979 and none of them dealt with Fonzie encountering a blind youth. So what episode was this???

Maybe the reporter got the story wrong, and he's talking about the mechanic in a wheelchair episode.
Edit: it seems like ABC was just swapping out a "message" show for a hot one during the November sweeps, which all the networks did then.
Another potential confusion is Fonzie dated a deaf girl somewhere around that time period.

That episode aired the same season, two months after the mechanic episode called Allison

Yeah, if I had to pick I’d say Deeb meant the mechanic episode.
But it does show even old newspaper articles got things wrong.

The episode with the mechanic in his wheelchair was pretty memorable, I thought.
Re: the article, I don't see anything wrong with Jennifer Hart going undercover as a hooker, that this guy found objectionable. Powers looked good in those years on Hart to Hart, I want to see that ep for sure...!
A lot of prudish attitude, and misleading as far as the sex aspects' importance to the scripts. For example, that was a really memorable Taxi episode, and the scene with Elaine at the all-male party was tastefully done and not very long at all.

I feel the same about the chrissy bathtub scene that was mentioned

Around 2:30 here, Garry Marshall talks about doing shows for "pressure groups - in a good sense." Everything from deafness to library cards.
