Welcome to KIDS DUBBA DUBBA WB (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=363837)! There were so many iconic shows that were aired on this network, with many different changes occurring with the block over its 19 years on the air. The block would be the last official nationwide block to air Saturday morning cartoons in 2014, bringing a tradition that had lasted decades to an end. Together, we’ll be taking a trip through the timeline of Kids WB, as well as the how the block changed names over the last few years of the block on the air.

What shows do you remember watching on the block? Let me know in the comments below! And if you want more content like this, make sure to Like and Subscribe, and also check out the playlists on my channel to see all the video sources I used to research and make this video!

Dates shown in the video refer to when the show was airing new episodes, not when they aired on Kids WB, CW4Kids, Toonzai, and Vortexx

"Today marks 30 years (https://animesuperhero.com/forums/threads/happy-30th-anniversary-to-kids-wb.5802902/) since (https://www.google.com/search?q=Kids+WB+30+years&sca_esv=d0de567ea38b85be&sxsrf=AE3TifNDvRUHQbT-Oo3GwWh0gpHZOs5f9w%3A1758519534024&ei=7uDQaKWfAcm9ptQPqpTQgAI&ved=0ahUKEwilzp_h0-uPAxXJnokEHSoKFCAQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=Kids+WB+30+years&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiEEtpZHMgV0IgMzAgeWVhcnNI5mpQAFiaYHADeAGQAQCYAaNDoAHNXqoBDTItMy4zLjEuMi45LTG4AQPIAQD4AQGYAgagAo9OqAIQwgIHECMYJxjqAsICFBAAGIAEGJECGLQCGIoFGOoC2AEBwgIREAAYgAQYkQIYsQMYgwEYigXCAgUQABiABMICCxAAGIAEGJECGIoFwgIKEAAYgAQYFBiHAsICBhAAGBYYHsICCBAAGBYYChgewgIFEAAY7wXCAggQABiiBBiJBZgDvwHxBXLvGKgpL9y0ugYGCAEQARgBkgcNMS4xLjEuMC4yLjktMaAH8BSyBwsyLTEuMC4yLjktMbgHx0zCBwsyLTEuMS4yLjEuMcgH-QE&sclient=gws-wiz-serp) Kids WB premiered, on September 9th, 1995 (http://www.tvtango.com/listings/1995/09/09), arguably the greatest kids programming block of all time – though FOX Kids can make a counter claim. Speaking of which, Kids WB’s creation can in large part be attributed to the success of the rival network. The FOX channel launched in 1987 as the “4th network”, to compete against ABC, NBC and CBS. Seeing hits like “The Simpsons” in Prime Time and “Batman the Animated Series” and “X-Men” on Saturday Mornings and weekday afternoons, Warner Bros. decided to have it’s own turn. In the Fall of 1995, Warner Bros. launched “The WB”, it’s own “over the air” broadcast network (as did UPN, making for a total of 6 major broadcast networks in the late 90’s…but UPN is largely forgettable). Along with the creation of the new channel came the creation of a new kid’s programming block.

Enter: Kids WB

Kids WB’s initial line-up was composed of several shows that had previously formed the backbone of FOX Kids’ line-up, namely “Animaniacs”.

Kids WB’s original Saturday morning line-up consisted of:

8:00 E.T. – Animaniacs

8:30 E.T. – The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries

9:00 ET – Animaniacs (hey, a 2nd dose can’t hurt, right?)

9:30 ET – Pinky & the Brain (now a spin-off show)

10:00 ET – Freakazoid

10:30 ET – Earthworm Jim"

With network Saturday mornings hanging on by a thread, The CW4Kids/Toonzai & Vortexx attempted to reinvigorate it... and didn't do any good.
