DarleneIllyria 10-29-2002, 10:55 PM flying cockroaches- oh yes, we do have those in the south. The sad thing is if they didn't have wings, I don't think I would be afraid of them. I could stomp them with my shoe easily. However, the fact that the ones that have wings are some humongous bugs scares me to death. Ugh, I have nightmares of one up high and it flying down on me. They just scare me to death. I'm serious. You just don't want to be around me when I see one.
The roach one is prob. my biggest fear. Talking in public is prob. the next one.

MidnightRose21498 10-29-2002, 11:14 PM Heights - I will not go on any rollar coaster at Six Flags except the baby one. I cannot stand that feeling you get in your stomach when you plunge to the ground. Plus, there have been one too many casualties on those things. Ironically enough, I kinda like flying in an airplane. My first time was back in '99, going to visit my boyfriend... man you should have seen my eyes bulge right out when the plane started going up... that scared me to death. But after a while I got used to it and started to like it. It was especially cool on the way back. It was nighttime and the city lights were beautiful as we lifted over them. I'm a little skeptical of getting on a plane now since 9/11 though.
I'm scared of lots of things. If I'm out alone, I'm paranoid of my own shadow... always looking behind me.

That when the tables started shaking?? See..as soon as the credits came on @ saw his face I refused to look @ him again and covered my eyes which meant I missed like 80% of the movie LOl. It's like in the middle of the movie. They're all at a restaurant and each of their fortune cookie turns into something different. One of them had an eyeball in it, then one sprayed out blood all over the table, one had an unborn baby chick half alive without any of its feathers, one had a scorpion and it started walking around the table and so on. LOL it was really scary the first time I saw it.

Hey, I like ghosts! :) I hope to see and photograph one someday. Anyway, don't worry about them... most of them are friendly. Besides, the chance of actually seeing a ghost is pretty slim.

There was an old woman, but that was at the girls house where she and her dad had lived. She went back there and talked to her, then went into the bathroom, but all the faucets spewed out blood instead of water. So she went back to the living room, and she found out that the old lady was IT, so she ran out of there as soon as she could.

Oohhh..I remember the blood in the faucets and in the showers. Thats what freaked me out so much about the movie- the kids could see IT, but not their parents LOl. I used to think I could see IT but my parents couldnt!!! LOlol

That part is so cool. Didn't the old woman hand her a cup of tea and the tea turned to blood ? Oh yeah, I think I remember it now. Okay, the old lady takes a sip of tea and she either laughs or smiles and you see blood all over her teeth. It was something like that.

Yea, she drank a cup of tea and I'm not sure, but she either had blood all over her teeth or it shows IT's green decaying teeth. I'm not too sure about it right now, but I should rent the movie soon. lol a good halloween treat.

**shivers** Wasnt there some creepy part in a cafeteria?? I think the only part I didnt find scary was that dog in a hospital or whatever it was. O0o0o.but that whole beginning thing (with Jonathan Brandis) and that lil ship and tricycle gives me the creeps. Then there was that scene where theyre all looking through the photo album and it comes to life. I was always freaked out because dont like all the stories take place in Maine? Yeah..Im moving there LOl. Joy:rolleyes: . I thought DANVILLE was the boonies..

I don't really remember a cafeteria part, but I'm probably just drawing a blank. The ship scene was scary though with the little brother trying to reach IT through the gutter. I always get shivers when he's approaching the gutter.

Ohhh...yeah..that scene totally freaks me out. Oh, well maybe it wasnt a cafeteria. I remember that all the tables started shaking though and it made a mess. Wasnt IT standing @ the balcony or whatever it was @ top with balloons? Or maybe that was a different scene. Its weird how I remember so much seeing how I had my eyes covered most of the time lol.

Uh, I know there was a balloon scene, but I don't remember it. The one schene I thought also was really scary was when the kids had the photo album and the picture turned into like a movie, and you could see IT dancing in the street (lol) and then he jumps onto the lamp post and sticks his head out. THat was also really scary!
Also on a side note, I bet Karli's just gonna love reading all the responses to this post. It's more like a whole critical review over IT. lol :p

Okay wait, I just remembered about the balloons. They were in the library when IT was on the second floor on the balcony and he released those balloons that no one else except the kids (They were adults in this scene) could see. I think the balloons had blood in them?

Actually this is a sort of fear...fear of commitment. The headshrinkers call it commitmentphobia. I have a girlfriend who's 38, single by choice, and just can't commit to a long-term relationship. She drives the guys crazy.
I'm the opposite. I fear being alone.

Mmm...Im like that too. I always sleep FACING the wall. I never face out. Plus, the shades must be down in my bedroom (they always are anyways) and in the upstairs bathroom at night. Why? Because I hate seeing my reflection @ night (unless the lights on) it freaks me out. O0o0o..especially when youre walking and see yourself in the mirror. *shivers*
