You know the scene in one of the episodes where Alice and Carol are in the family room hemming a dress (I think the show where Marcia gets braces, but I'm probably wrong) ?

Mike comes in asking the ladies something and Alice is talking (mumbling, actually) with a lot of pins in her mouth. Mike asks Carol, "How can you understand what she's saying?" Carol says, "Simple..." and then Mike walks away like he's thinking "Whatever."

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like Carol was going to add something after the "Simple..." but it got cut out. Does anyone remember if she said something to explain WHY it's "simple?"

Possible. It's also possible that that's how the scene was originally cut. I've seen other scenes that contained either bad acting or other awkward moments.
