I have a rather off- the-

wall question, but from the first season:

How tall was Karen Sharpe, who played Melissa Stone, Tony's fiancee (from the first couple of shows)?

I know it's a stupid question, so I won't get into explaining why I want to know!

It appears that Karen Sharpe was about two inches taller than Barbara was; I'm judging this by a publicity photo of them together during production of the first episode. However, "Jeannie" is in her bare feet (wearing "Tony's" shirt) while "Melissa" is wearing high heels- but she's shorter than "Tony", who was at least six feet, two inches. So, I'd say she was 5'6, as Barbara was almost 5'4.

IMDB, which isn't always a great source on this type of information, lists Karen as 5'2", which means shorter than Barbara. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Karen, but I met Barbara and look her right in the eye (I'm 5'4").

Okay, it was Karen's high heels that threw me! Every time I see that scene in the pilot episode where Jeannie and Melissa meet, Jeannie's in her bare feet, and Melissa looks taller than her in their brief scene together!! Naturally, I assumed she was at least two inches higher...IT WAS HER *#^@!>%+~= HIGH HEELS!!!!

No problem. I wish I'd met Karen in person so I could tell you for sure. She was at one of the Hollywood Autograph Shows - but I couldn't get there that weekend.

Larry and Bill, OTOH, are loads taller - - too tall to really be astronauts. Larry is about 6'2", I think, and Bill's about 2" shorter.
