A great actor TAKEN FROM US WAY TOO SOON. His wonderful legacy lives on in film. I thought he was a wonderful actor who (gasp!) who actually brought us wholesome entertaining and educational shows. (Not that I'm Church Lady mind you; I can appreciate a good John Waters flick every now and then. But there is way too much reliance on potty words and precosious oversexed pre-teens on TV. IMO, cheap gimmicks 99.9% of the time--nothing wrong with these when THEY REALLY SERVE A PURPOSE--which is rare. An example in literature where profanity worked would be Holden Caulfied in Catcher In The Rye. Otherwise, producers and writers, do some brain work and don't opt for the easy way out.)
Sorry for digression. Wha I really appreciate about Mr. Landon was how he not only bbrought us one great show with his acting (Bonanza) but then immed. went on to do Little House--another great show I love Little House On The Prarie.
Also, FYI, he was a fierce javelin thrower in college.
Share your appreciation for Michale Landon too.
