I use whatever is the cheapest or on sale. Right now, the choice is the 10 pack RCA T-120 packs. I can get them for under $9, sometimes under $8 (that's when I stock up ;)).

The best blank video tape is: Maxell GX-Silver T-120. I have tapes from 1992 that are still in fresh, perfect, and crisp condition. Plus, they are cheap as can be. A pack of 6 is only $5.49!!!!

I usually use Maxell but for some reason the stores I go to have stopped selling them and now I buy Sony tapes.

I use RCA tapes. Not because their 10 pack of tapes are cheap it's because they have good sound and quality. I used to use Maxell tapes but the picture was messed up so changed to RCA.

I know what you mean. In September I went and got 3 packs of the 10 pack of RCA tapes because of the new season coming up. I wanted to make sure I have plenty of tapes for shows and movies I want to record. Especially the Christmas specials they have in December, I love recording Christmas shows.

I like Memorex but usually whatever I can find.

One type of tape I do not like is CHROME DIOXIDE tape (for cassettes,8 tracks) as most stuff on Chrome does not sound as good....
