In the sense that it ultimately won't age well or the series as a whole, is ultimately too attached to its era (https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-lists/president-tv-series-defined-era-994869/) to be enjoyed by people in the future. For example, people watching in the future, likely won't understand the references and what not. Basically, these are shows that were in the end (https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/1/19/14288694/presidents-tv), such a product of its time (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnintentionalPeriodPiece), that it in return, became less relatable to modern audiences.

Murphy Brown and Family Ties fall into this trap of being to topical with all the political references and jokes that people born in the 2000's and above can never understand without having to continuously reference Wikipedia.

Similar to how I have problems while watching Laugh-In an not getting al the political jokes.
