On April 23, 2005, YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim uploaded a grainy 19-second video "Me at the zoo" to his brand new digital platform. Being the first video uploaded to YouTube, it showed Karim in front of an elephant exhibit at the San Diego Zoo with more than 355 million views.

Over the last two decades, YouTube reports more than 20 trillion videos have been uploaded since then.

Don't know whether this was foreseen or not, but alot of people worldwide making good income by uploading videos since Youtube is only second to Disney company in term of revenue. With 20 billion video uploads, the Youtube servers and video storage facility must be humongous.
