Thanks for the info...
I found the issue of People late last night at about 12:00 midnight and did the craziest thing....I actually bid on it! I started thinking of how much of a treausre it would be to hear Tony's story and just couldn't resist. Now, I don't know whether I should hope no one out-bids me or pray that someone does...my husband is gonna flip when he finds out.

Well chicoslady...Don't feel bad, I just sent off a money order for that very magazine yesterday...The price held at 23.50 the rose to 56.00 in five minutes!!! Someone else also wanted that mag...They were watching the auction end as I was...You never about those things...I saw your name as a bidder on Ebay, good luck!!!

The whole Ebay thing is pretty intimidating if you ask me. I'm not going any higher than $15 for the mag...I would be a divorced woman if I did...lol.
Tell you what...you can post excerpts from the Tony Orlando story like Tracy is doing from the Maria Preutzel book. Have you done any reading over at that thread...it's very, very sad but riveting at the same time. I don't want to continue reading the posts because I feel like I'm, in some way, intruding on a mother watching her son die...which is a very private, painful, and intimate thing...but at the same time...I can't wait to read the next post.
If you haven't spent some time over there reading it, you should...very special stuff.

I'd been wanting to view the CAN YOU HEAR THE LAUGHTER movie out of curiosisty. I remember when it came out in the 70's but am not sure if I saw it or not. If I did I sure don't remember it. I saw a copy of it up for auction on E-BAY for $2.50 & no bid on it so I figured for that cheap a price I could afford to buy it to view it. All total with shipping only costs $4 or so. I bid on it & I won the bid at that price! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I think it's a previously viewed video rental tape but better than nothing as it's supposedly out of print. Should be interesting viewing but I think they may have spiced it up some tho. Now if I could just get the book. Some of the stuff on my friend Arlo the singer is getting way outta my price range. 40 & 50 some $$$ for a coupla of posters I want of him... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

Okay Cheryll...The best thing to do on Ebay if you are trying to get the book is just watch tthe auction for a while..so that you dont' drive the price up too early..very improtant..try to watch it end if at all possible...and pray a little or a lot most items that have to do with Freddie are going for quite a bit..give a try it might work!!!

I see there are about 4 or so of the paperbacks on ebay right now. The Freddie Prinze Story.

I'll be honest with you. I'm wondering of Tony Orlando still! In the book there is a picture of Tony with Mr. Pruetzel waiting for the elevator the day Freddie passed. He was also seen carrying his coffin. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif When will Tony Orlando write a book and clear his name? Will he keep letting all these years go by and still keep his mouth shut? I was a fan of his many moons ago but, after Freddie died I was very angry at him too.

Tony Orlando will not speak much of Freddie....I heard somewhere that he had an interview with some mag and when they asked him about the friendship between him and Freddie he got upset and ended the interview...

He must have some guilt to live with. That action you mentioned above Chica is the thing someone would do if they know there wrong about something.

If he has nothing to hide. Why is he hiding? He better write a book and set the record straight. Freddie's fans deserve to hear his side. It's going to be 25 years of silence. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif They were such close friends... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I wonder why he has been hiding for all this time.
