Baseball's been apart of the World for centuries, but moving in to the 20th century is when the first real era of MLB began (https://www.huffpost.com/entry/what-are-the-major-eras-o_b_3547814). That era ended once rule changes came a long and Babe Ruth began hitting home runs at an incredible rate to the delight of fans. After World War 2, Jackie Robinson changed baseball and the country with his debut in 1947. Things rolled to the 60s, paving the way for expansion into California and even Canada. With more money, players began making more after Curt Flood's trial case in part leading to the 1994 strike that led to the steroid era. Players like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and more saved the game but were banished. Leading to the present era of analytics and a pitch clock.
