Which one do you perfer. Not the show's. These teo characters. I really like Maude, but Dorthy, Maude has nothing on Dorthy. Dorthy was less political and more funny. Plus she had a better mother.

As much as I love Maude, I have to go with Dorothy. Dorothy is more sarcastic than Maude, and in humor, I love sarcasm!

Maude, I think she had the best sense of humor, I think both Dorothy and Maude were independent woman, which brought out their characters. I think Maude was a bit controversial, but her sense of humor has never failed.

But, I love Dorothy. The next time if Maude comes back on TV which I think they will, but when will they? I will be sure to watch it. I love Rue and like Bea, so I'm going to watch it if it comes on TV again and I will maybe buy it on DVD if it doesn't come out on TV again.:wave: :wave:

Maude or Dorothy.. hmm.. Good Question! I don´t know. I love the characters Dorothy and Maude. Maude is more funny (when it´s wrong => i´m tired) than Dorothy ;)

I prefer Dorothy . . . by a long shot! Her sense of humor can top Maude's political views anyday, anyplace, and anytime.

Gee the characters are both so similar. I guess Dorothy is funnier, she played off Sophia while Maude played off her husband...I think his name was Arthur

Although I like Maude, I sometimes found her personality to be as cold as a stone. Dorothy's personality was alot softer and less overbearing.

I agree,Dorothy was more laid back.Maude seemed higher strung with quite a temper.Not to mention,Dorothy seemed to have a happeir home than Maude did.

I guess Dorothy too. I hate to say it but Bea looked younger in the Golden Girls than she looked in Maude.

That is a hard decision, but I would have to say Maude. While Id rather watch Golden Girls more, I love Maude and everything about her on the show. Her humor, they way she thought and spoke words. Her comebacks were not only funny and quick witted, but smart and sophisticated. Its hard to say though. I havent seen Maude since it was last on TV Land. I really wish it would come back. Now days with TIVO. You would think networks could put shows like Maude on even in the crapiest of timeslots just so I could TIVO it and watch it later. That would be nice. Oh well. Anyway, MAUDE, lol.

That is a hard one... I love them both for who they are and stand for... so looking at it that way, I would have to say I rather have Maude protect me in a verbal fight, then Dorothy.

Dorothy because she Bea actually looked younger on the Golden Girls which is funny! Also Dorothy seemed more relaxed & was funnier than Maude in my opinion.

I like Maude better. Dorothy was too mean at times that she got on my nerves.
