This year Frasier is not doing so good ratings wise. Last week it was the number 26 show of the week. Not so good for a show that use to be in the top 5.

When are people going to realise that how many people watch a show doesn't dictate how good it is?

that is true BUT the show has gone down extremely. i was looking at an article about friends' 10th season on y and y it shudnt do another season.
4 shudnt he wrote it wud b good to go out on top unlike frasier. for example a few weeks a go frasier held a up a parking garage for a $2 fee. It wasnt silly, it was just sad.

Did "Cheers" begin to go down in the 10th season? Maybe frasier is going down because cheers had more charaters and a lot more storylines to explore....

Other shows would still kill to get Frasier's ratings. I still think Frasier is a quality show despite the ratings erosion.

It doesn't surprise me that ratings are down, the only reason I continue to watch Frasier is to hope that there will be a really great episode. I know its better than most shows but still it dissapoints me that a show that was so great is doing these silly stories, just my opinion.

I wasn't saying it is a bad show now because of its ratings. I'm say quite of few of its viewers have stopped watching. I still think it is a funny show.

It is currently ranked at #19 in the neilsons. Now, this has been a VERY though year with competition and everything...so this is quite excellent ratings-wise. Yes, if you compare it to before, they are down a bit...but the ratings are still wonderful. Almost every show was picked up this year because of great ratings. Tuesdays is hard for NBC with the 8-9 hour, but being #19 with all of that stuff if astonishing. Frasier would take 100% of In-Laws audience, and add on even more. At least Kelsey has one hit...

This is another example of what changing time slots can do to ratings. no ofense to friends fans but if you go and put that show on mondays up aganist everybody loves raymond the ratings would proably go way down. I think fraiser is one of the better shows out there these days.;)

It's natural for a long running show to have a dropoff in ratings; except for "Friends," which shows no signs of stopping.

If "Frasier" had some stronger lead ins, perhaps their ratings would improve. Still, the show is doing pretty good considering it's pretty much all alone on Tuesday.

They've waded through the last couple of years and next season will hopefully be their last. Though after a dismal beginning to this year, I'm actually laughing again.

Hey! It's a comedy, its supposed to have silly stories!

As for the ratings, you are right, UPN or WB would fight for ratings that high, especially with the dishearting ratings dips for UPN's flagship show "Enterprise" and the cancellation of long-time franchise "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch"

Frasier has had what I consider its best season this year and is kicking the comedy fanny of other stupid (IMO) NBC Sitcoms such as the sleep-inducing "Friends" or the stupid "Will & Grace" or even the moronic, laugh-track-less "Scrubs".

Keep going, "Frasier", but just lay off the serious stories. Don't lose your comedic identity like "Will & Grace" or "Friends." You're a sitcom, not a soapopera!

Also of note is that its great to have an over-the-top scripted sitcom with all the idiotic reality TV floating around!
