i think i completely misjudged her new image after seeing her video. her vid def makes her look like a slut and makes you think thats all her music is about... sex songs. But i changed my opinion completely after hearing "beautiful". i looooooooove that song. Im gonna buy her cd when it comes out. when is that again?

I like her, she is awesome. She does have some meaningful songs like Reflection and Beautiful, I mean she is doing a lil much with all this nude crap but she seems like a sweet person and I like her music. I started replaying her cd that I got years ago and I like it all over again, I might get her new cd. Its on the 29th, this month of course.

I think that her new style is well, a little too much. Like her new nude self on Rolling Stone.....her style has changed a lot. But, she does have a great voice. She can hit the high notes and stuff and I've heard that on her new cd, "Dirrty" is the only song thats....dirty...lol. I've heard that all the other songs are great. I have her first cd cuz i liked that song Genie in a Bottle so i decided to buy it. So all I'm saying is i don't like her new style at all but i do like her voice :)

Welp, she's better then Brittney Spears. I have Christina's first CD and I will admit- I love it. I love "Relfection". It's one of my favorite songs of all time. I do like the song "Dirty" though- I just don't like the video for it.

Now that I think about it, I guess I actually do like her. I don't care for Pop music, but there are exceptions.

No, OK I admit I have purchased every album the day they came out lol she has another album "Just Be Free" it's kinda a mini album, not very good... So she has Christina Aguilera (her first CD), Mi Reflejo, My Kind of Christmas, Just Be Free, and next Stripped.

I think this is who she is and what she wants to do. In all her interviews now and stuff on TV she says the record labels forced her to be teen pop music and have that preppy pop girl look so her music and look would be "sellable". She's also said that she wanted to be a singer so much that she was gonna do anything to have that career so she lived "a life that wasn't hers". She said something close to that on that "Christina Aguilera: Stripped in NYC".

the reason they released them is ebcause they were becoming unpopular. They're trying to save their careers. Christinas new image and Britneys new found sluttyness and Nicks new "Rocker: image and Justins hip hop sound are all ways of updating their sound so they dont fade out, which will inevitably happen. its hilarious. nick Carter, influenced by System of a Down. HAHAHA. he is trying to be a rockstar(and failing miserably might I add), because pop-punk is popular right now. In a few years when Hip Hop is the big thing, He'll release a rap album.

I mean people talk about rock groups selling out by becoming mainsteam... Well then what is this? I hate to say that someones "sold out" but the major pop acts started out by selling out. Now they're just sold out sell outs. haha.

Maybe if they stopped trying to be gangsters, punkers, and strippers and just focused on their talents, they'd be taken a lot more seriously by... just about everyone who hates them.

PS. Thank god her single is a flop. if this album sells real bad she might not get a chnce to release another! I am praying! BTW why did it take her half a decade to release a second album?

Yeah..I saw Nick Carter on TRL lastweek bouncing up and down like a *rocker*. I was waiting for him to bump his head or something. He looked like a freak. He just doesnt have the image. But thats why they do it..like TV stars, they dont wanna be typecast! Dont they all know they cant beat the system?? LOl.

I dunno. I kind of got sick of the "We're taking it to the next level" crap. Didn't they say that with each and every cd and each cd sounds the same to me. You have your crappy slows songs with some fast ones tossed into the mix. BSB and N Sync don't know how to take it to the next level. If you listen to the Dixie Chicks or other musicians they don't make that claim of taking it to the next level. You can immediately tell by the music if they took it to the next level.

I agree, I like it too. However, I think if BRITNEY were to do that, Id be distgusted. I guess I have higher standards for Britney sorta because shes known for being the sweet one of the crew and even though Christina was like that too @ first, it just doesnt suit her as well as it does Britney.

I feel bad for Britney too. I guess I still sort of have this attachment to her because when 3 years ago wen I was in 5th grade I had a BIG obsession over her. I loved Baby One More Time so I bought her first cd and automatically loved it. And when her second cd came out I liked it even more then the first one! I even saw one of her concerts. She was just a great performer and whenever she did an interview or something she'd be SO sweet. And omg, people freaked out about her thing at the VMA's that one year when she was "naked." I mean I agree it's not the most appropriate thing to wear but like I think people made a bigger deal out of that then they're doing with the "Dirrty" video. It's like, when people saw "Dirrty" it was OMG EWWW Christina's changed! But when people saw Brits VMA outfit it was like SHE DANCES AROUND NAKED ON THE STAGE! And people made a huuuuuuuuuuuge deal out of Britney's first Rolling Stone cover where she was on the phone in a bra or something and I don't really hear too much about Christina's nudeness on Rolling Stone! When these two first started out it seemed like Britney was a sweetheart and Christina was like, stuck up n stuff. But now it seemed like Britney's turning a little obnoxious and Christina's getting sweeter. I don't like Christina's new image at all and I don't like the way Britney dresses either but I mean they're talented they actually are! I dunno.....I guess I just kinda prefer them as the "Baby One More Time" and "Genie in a Bottle" pop princesses rather then 20 something year olds who wear as little clothes as they can. I just think that Christina and Britney should get equal criticism and I think that sometimes Britney gets criticized a little too much.

Yeah..she gets WAY to criticized for stuff. Shes always on a cover about something she did or didnt do. I, personally LIKED what she wore to the VMAs in 2000 for her performance- I thought it was pretty. I agree with ShaneWA too about that Britneys gotten more for the dark side (swearing giving the middle finger, etc...), but shes HUMAN and when was the last time YOU swore?
