How many one hit wonders exist where not only did the general public not care about any future songs, but the artists' one hit has also become forgotten? Are there any good examples of this phenomenon?

Save Some Love by Keedy. A mid 80s pop hit, the singer was a woman named Kelly Keedy (Keedy being her last name obviously). Although I personally really did like the song.
ETA: I have to make a slight correction, the song was released in the early 90s and not the mid 80s. I'm not sure why my mind wants to think the song came out in the mid 80s when I was still in high school. LOL.

Right here is the #1 country song of 2008 and it was sadly the only song that ever did anything for James as a singer. He was however given the 2009 ACM and CMA Song of the Year awards for the song named "In Color" which was done by fellow country singer Jamey Johnson. :) :) :)
