Exactly Correct because People Puzzler at 2am ET and Flip Side at 12:30am ET (via encore)

Exactly Correct because People Puzzler at 2am ET and Flip Side at 12:30am ET (via encore)I was referring to the brand new originals which will have their series premieres next week. Flip Side isn't really a GSN original anyway, they are borrowing it from locals like Person, Place, or Thing last year (except giving Flip Side better times than PPT ever got ).

How many episodes are there usually in a season of GSN originals? It might be 65 episodes, maybe less for a rookie. One thing they have started in recent years: once a few weeks are into the new season Friday nights become repeats with just Monday-Thursday new.

After seeing brief clips of the Wink Martindale version of TTT, I wondered how that show would look today in this day and age of widescreen, flatscreen and HDTV. It would look so much better.

I am getting my wish. I’m recording the debut episode.

Great news, the Tic Tac Dough premiere is available on X1 for those who couldn't watch last night live. It is also very reduced commercials with just a program ad in each break. Even NBC shows don't have reduced commercials until after three days have passed. But you do have to know the episode title of what you missed with them not giving episode numbers, easy with just one. I really like this Tic Tac Dough. It is much cleaner and faster paced than Hollywood Squares. Brooke's Tic Tac Dough is already ahead of Shifting Gears on my favorite rookie shows list and very close to The Hunting Party.

I recorded it and watched it last night only because I was curious to see what the game board would look like today with todays technology and I can say is the computerized game board is REALLY in your face.

Unfortunately I don’t think Brooke will miss pronounce orangutans like Wink hilarious did.

Bingo Blitz premiere is also available on X1. While far from terrible, it is nothing special either. Only time I would watch Bingo Blitz live is if Jeopardy! were preempted, while Jeopardy! is in new episodes anyway.

Beat the Bridge only had 5 episodes from season 1 available, not last night's season 2 premiere.

Weakest part of Beat the Bridge remains the host, would be a lot better if they had someone of John O'Hurley's caliber.

I hear from a reliable source that Tic Tac Dough sucks, the host sucks, and it will be cancelled soon.

So much for every night of Tic Tac Dough being available. Episode 6 from last night is not available, just the first three episodes. Which means I will probably miss episode 7 that airs tonight. At least starting tomorrow I can watch live every night.

Game Show Network launched two new shows on the 14th. One was Tic Tac Dough, the other is Bingo Blitz. Based off of the app, two contestants play bingo with questions to try to win $10,000. Is it worth the watch? Tune in and find out!

The Chase (repeats of ABC's version, don't know why GSN won't repeat their own original anymore) is now in primetime for just one night, Thursdays at 9:00 replacing Press Your Luck. They did that to not conflict with ABC's new episodes airing then. Strange ABC doesn't want repeats of Press Your Luck airing against the new episode, but they didn't mind when Jeopardy! was in the 9PM hour first against a new Celebrity Jeopardy then a new Jeopardy Masters.

The weekend schedule is changing starting on August 23. Alec Baldwin's Match Game is a consistent flop, after being removed from weekdays several months ago it is gone from weekends as well after tonight's airing. Common Knowledge is also gone totally. The Chase on Thursday nights didn't last long, back to Press Your Luck with ABC's season apparently already finished. Michael Strahan's $100,000 Pyramid and Deal or No Deal are gone from GSN primetime, but remain in their weekday hours which besides the Thursday primetime hour remains unchanged. Besides the 9AM hour, 7-9PM is also now different on Saturdays and Sundays.

The new weekend schedule
9-10AM Saturdays Wheel of Fortune Sundays Jeopardy!
10-11AM 25 Words or Less- replaces America Says
11AM-1PM Cash Cab- replaces America Says 2x and 25 Words or Less 2x
1PM Switch- replaces Common Knowledge

Starting September 15 there will be a few weekday changes with most shows remaining the same. Switch will be totally gone from the weeknight schedule, it will still have its weekend 1PM airings. GSN's site did not say if the 1AM hour was an encore of the 5PM hour episodes. At least they had the updated schedule unlike my X1 guide and online listings sites.

5:30PM The Perfect Line replaces Chain Reaction

6-7AM Match Game
7-8AM Chain Reaction

10-11AM The $100,000 Pyramid- still the vastly inferior Michael Strahan version with no sign of Dick Clark ever returning

Bingo Blitz gameplay just wasn't interesting. GSN should keep Valerie as a host, but have her do a GSN move of Person, Place, or Thing. Or she could host a People Puzzler comeback.

Honestly, she still has enough going on career wise to not worry about finding another game show. Although they do tend to tape many episodes in one day, so they’re not that time consuming to do, and they do seem like fun, so who knows.

But Bingo Blitz does feel one and done dead.

GSN has made a few changes to their weekday schedule. Cash Cab no longer has a full hour, will be just one episode at 9AM. Another Wheel of Fortune is added at 9:30AM, this is in addition to its 1-3PM hours. Beat the Bridge and The Perfect Line are trading places. The Perfect Line is now at 4:30PM, and Beat the Bridge is now at 5:30PM. Everything else on weekdays remains the same.

It is nice to have a full night of Trivial Pursuit on the CW tonight. Trivial Pursuit is a smarter game show than The Wall, Press Your Luck, Card Sharks, Match Game, and Deal or No Deal hourlongs combined currently airing on Game Show Network. GSN should acquire Trivial Pursuit to premiere after all of the expanded 2nd season has aired on the CW.

Don't know when this started: All the Jeopardy! on GSN's schedule is from when Alex Trebek was the host. The 3PM hour is from his last few months in 2020, so it could go to the guest hosts era after that.
It is strange that Chain Reaction (6:30PM) and Beat the Bridge (5:30PM) don't get advertised with their good slots. Their lead-ins and lead-outs still get advertised plenty.

Alec Baldwin's Match Game and Card Sharks are gone from weekends, their last airing was yesterday. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Celebrity Jeopardy! will be replacing them. Everything else remains the same for now.

A revolting change that must have started yesterday: Deal or No Deal has expanded to two episodes on weekdays starting at 11AM. The good classic version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? is now completely gone. Beat the Bridge, which was also removed from weekdays, will still air at 10AM on weekends. Cash Cab remains 10:30AM-noon then.

Getting annoyed with the unusual high frequency of Cloudflare checks: happened when I tried to edit the title of this thread after coming back from commercial, happened again when I tried to post this the first time after another commercial then the screen went blank, this is my second attempt at making the post after the first one was eaten.

GSN is skipping at least two episodes of Jeopardy! season 37, the fall run when Alex was still hosting. Episodes 1 and 2 aired yesterday, they skipped 3 and are airing 4 and 5 today. Then episode 6 will also be skipped, with 7 and 8 airing on Monday.
