what community service do people do around here?

AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA nothing. We need 40 hours (in 4 years) and I have.....2.

i volenteer @ a hospital a few weeks during the summer.

yah!! same here!! me and my friend did that...but she isnt done and I am so I jus keep going with her, cuz I get more hours

wwwwwwwwowwwwwwww we only need 60

at school i work with the life skills classes (mentally challenged students- many w/ downs syndrome)
i do tours at a local historic grist mill and do tours and work in the library of the historical society

and im going to be playing flute and singing (god help me...) at this nursing home around christmas..

omg 800???? we only need 8 hours for 4 years...I have already done over that from the hospital...

omg at confirmation classes they made us do community service every weekend...ahhh I hated that tho\...

We needed 18 hours a year for 2 years in confirmation.

yah...I want to do habitat for humanities...and ARC...and volunteer at other random stuff, I am helping at this "after dark program"

none...

we dont have to do community service unless we're going to be in national honor society.. but im not gonna be in that so nope. i have the grades to get in it but you have to have 10 activity points at school and clubs are only worth 1/4 a point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have to be in either band, choir, or play to sport which are worth two points EACH to really get into it. pisses me off. maybe if i join 40 clubs... :rolleyes:

Erm....OK...why do ya'll need to do those amounts of community service in four years? Am I missing something here? The only community service I've done was at my sister's elementary school library...five hours.

We have to have 100 hour in order to graduate, and i've done about 30. I usually go to one of the inner city elementry schools with my group and read to the liitle kids, have food drives and stuff like that that helps out the community.

if they did that at my school, a lot of people wouldn't graduate probably. too many lazy rich people at my school.

Cool! You know I'm obsessed with Les Mis, right? I'm so sad it's closing on Broadway. :( I was singing On My Own last night...lol.

I never heard of doing community service just to graduate. I had to do 50 hours to get confirmation, but nothing to graduate.
