Rugrats was a show I used to watch a ton of when I was younger despite it coming out a few years before I was even born. And I always remember Angelica being quite an unlikeable character. She used to torment and trick the other babies any chance she could and I never really understood why.

But the episode The Baby Vanishes does attempt to provide some sort of an answer as to WHY Angelica is such a rude individual. And since it's been 32 years since this episode of Rugrats premiered on Nickelodeon, It's definitely time to take a look back and see why Angelica acts the way she does.

If you ever watched Rugrats you'll understand why Angelica Pickles had an attitude and was such a brat was because that was how she was and her attitude really showed in many Rugrats episodes notably the Ice Cream Mountain episode where Angelica thinks she knew the way to Ice Cream Mountain and ended up scaring Chuckie with the gingerbread man who popped up and scared Chuckie so bad and in the episode The Seven Voyages Of Cynthia when Angelica caused a ruckus over Cynthia being lost forever then when the Rugrats finally find Cynthia Angelica didn't thank the Rugrats at all. Also if you Rugrats Angelica would always call the Rugrats names that were not nice and she would always bully them and pull tricks on them. Take for example when Tommy got the hiccups in the episode Hiccups she decided to cure Tommy by scaring him with her "scare machine" and that showed how full of attitude Angelica had. And so that's why Rugrats added Susie Carmichaels to the show as a nicer friendlier version of Angelica Pickles but I can see why some parents wouldn't let kids watch Rugrats because when they would see Angelica they would try to copy her
