I have now watched the whole three hours. It's in three parts, each an hour long. Lucie Arnaz is a great interview subject, very informative and offering great perspective, along with her natural humor. So the interview never gets boring. And I'm always amazed by how fantastic she looks.

Great interview! I am glad to see Lucie has finally acknowledged that at one point she had a bit of a "chip" on her shoulder...you can definitely see it in the special she made about her parents "Lucy & Desi Home Movies" or whatever it was called. I've watched that special several times, and I had to forward through Lucie's interviews in it because she comes across as a little whiny.

Growing up in Beverly Hills with famous parents is probably no big deal for her. Like most who live in LA, we are a bit "jaded" by the entertainment industry. But there are a lot of people out there who love and adore Lucille Ball, and yeah, we do sort of feel like we know her. Hell, she's been on TV 50 times a day for 60 years! She was...and is....a part of many families. Lucie may be a bit jaded, but I am glad she has reconciled her understanding of her parents' fans. We mean no harm....it is just the world is a much better place because Lucy made us all laugh, and we cherish people like that very much.

I haven't watched the home movies documentary in many years, but my feeling in watching it in the past was that Lucie was pretty measured and honest in her comments about both her parents. I didn't think she came across as if she had a chip on her shoulder. Maybe it's a matter of interpretation, but her statements seemed objective to me, or as objective as they could possibly be for a daughter. But if Lucie agrees with what you're saying . . . well, what do I know? :)
