I just heard it on the news. The snipers have been caught.
they were in support of Osama and the whole 911 terrorist act.
a 17-year old kid and a 42 year old man.

I'm relieved.

This guy served in the gulf war too. I can't understand why he brought his son into this.

I don't understand it either, What reason could he possibly have for involving his son in killing innocent people.

So...I guess that's why Sitcomwriter hasn't posted in a while.

Let's not be too quick and rush to judgement on this guy. He may be the Sniper or he may not. That hasn't been proven yet. All this talk about him supporting Osama and 9-11 is all rumors and speculation. I hope it is him, but you never know. Do you remember the 1996 Olympic bombing in Atlanta? They arrested Richard Jewel and he turned out to be innocent.

True, however I've been watching this since about midnight when they announced they had an arrest warrant out for this guy and his step-son.

They have gone to the guys old home in Washington and taken a tree trunk that seems to have been used as target practice.

When the two were arrested a gun, a Bushmaster .223, was taken from the car and is currently undergoing testing to see if this is the gun that has been used. The Bushmaster is a Semi-Automatic Civilian Version of a U.S. military rifle M-16.

Also alot of reporters have gone back to their old notes and have confirmed that at least when the FBI agent was killed at Home Depot a dark colored car matchng the description of the car the two guys were found in, was described as being at the Home Depot driving around and acting suspicious. It was discarded because most people had seen the white box truck/white van.

All in all, even though people are innocent until proven guilty, I'd say these are the guys.

Just want to change one thing I said. They are now saying that the boy is NOT his step-son, at least not legally. They are saying that he is a Jamacian National though.

To hell with fully charging- I usually don't believe in this, but I'm going for capital punishment on this one. And if they can't because the 17 yr. old is still legally a minor, lock him up for a year and then do it.

If it isn't the Sniper, I'm sure the real sniper is having a big ol' laugh about this.

I think they are the snipers because the cops have a lot of evidence on them.

I would go for capital punishment on this, too. And, the kid should get punished, too because at that age, a person should be smart enough to know right from wrong. Both those guys should pay the price.

I'm no sure he's the guy, although I certainly hope it is.

However, it freaked me out how they linked him to Alabama...scary junk.

I think they have caught the culprits. The reason why is because inside the Chevy Caprice that they were found in they had a spot on the back seat that you bring the seat down and you could crouch down and aim. :( They have to pay for their crimes........... :(

They had the right gun in the back of the car. They caught him literally, 10-15 minutes away from me...I heard the helicopters flying over my house.

I'm Glad They Caught Those Guys! Who Knows How Many Other Inoccent People May Have Lost Their Lives If They Didn't, I Hope They'll Be Punished For What They Did.

ditto. I totally agree. Capital punishment i think would be the best thing. and since capital punishment is legal in Virginia and Maryland, it is a safe bet that they most likely will do it.

they should take 13 people and have them each shoot a shot at the snipers....but Im not sure if they are the ones, but I think they have something to do with it

also that 17 year old lived one town away (Ft. Myers) for a while last year and went to school there (not mine). people were shocked to find out about it i know. some people actually knew him that i know.

I'm glad these sickos were caught. I hope they get the death penalty. My heart goes out to all the victims and their loved ones.

I've got a question. I'm sure everybody has heard the reports that the sniper was in the Gulf War. Do you think that will make them send him to jail for the rest of his life instead of giving him the chair or lethal injection if he claims war messed up his mind?

I don't think so. Tim McVeigh was a Gulf War veteran too and he was executed for his crimes.

How does the war mess up your mind? Even if that guy did plead insanity, the 17 year old should get the death penalty. He wasn't in the war.

It effects people in different ways. Like a person might be sitting in a restaurant or somewhere and their mind flashbacks to the war. Even if people are talking and laughing around you, your mind might manufacture that they are the enemy. I've read books with cases like that. The mind is awful tricky that way.

I hope they really SUFFER.

i'm glad that they got the Snifer down south the 42 year is getting a death penalty and the 17year old kid is gonna get treated like an adult which is good.They are just stupid idiots and they can rot in jail!!!!!!! Who agrees with me????
