Ever since she made her debut in 1992 on the soundtrack to Eddie Murphy's hit movie Boomerang with her debut single Love Should've Brought You Home it never seemed that singer Toni Braxton would become a rising pop star. And so when her debut album hit stores in 1993 Toni Braxton proved herself lucky and scored hit after hit. And when she came out fans were amazed to see a pop star take off. When you first listened to Toni Braxton you might be reminded of the late Laura Branigan because Toni's voice is identical to Laura Branigan's and this is who I think the critics compared Toni Braxton to when she came out. But after she released the second album Secrets and The Heat album came out Toni Braxton went downhill and when the More Than A Woman album came out Toni switched to a hip-hop sound and that's why I think the album didn't sell well. And if you look at Toni Braxton today she hasn't had a great song come out since and I wonder why that is?
