Yes there was a remake in the late 90s that was produced in Canada, it was aired on YTV and on Animal Planet in the USA. There's actually a few episodes of season 2 that are missing(as they were never released on DVD for whatever reason)that i'm looking for, those missing episodes are "Bear Necessities" and the two-part series finale "Graduation", so if anyone has those episodes please do let me know.

There was also a syndicated remake in the late 80s and early 90s called "The New Adventures of Lassie".
