If no one else uses this topic.. I sure will.. Because I can't remember crap.

Someone was talking about the Maura Murray case.. That's a college student who disappeared after a car accident in New Hampshire back in '04. She ran off the road.. A passerby asked if she needed help, said she had called roadside assistance.. When help arrived, she was gone. So far as I know, this case was never on UM

I seem to recall a case that WAS on UM.. Very similar. I actually seem to recall the person jumped out of the car.. It was also in the New England area, perhaps? Her father was driving her somewhere, she jumped out and ran.. Many years later, they found her body, and I think she died of a fractured skull she got when she jumped from the moving vehicle. I also seem to think they found her body VERY near the road where she jumped out. She was rather young.. 18-24 or so..

Does this ring any bells for anyone? Or am I just making things up again?

Not all of the details match, but when you mentioned jumping out of the car I thought of Carson Prince which was on UM.

I'm getting the feeling that I'm misremembering things or I'm combining two (or more) cases into one that didn't actually happen.

I know the people around here can name cases and details on them from next to nothing.. So, the fact that no one is saying "Oh, you're thinking of..."

Pretty much is telling me what I already know.. my memory sucks.

Mine too. It amazes me at the details of cases that members here can remember.

Sounds to me like an amalgamation of the Carson Prince, Jessica Keen, and Leah Roberts segments.

Good idea for a thread.

Anyone remember the case of armed robbers that went to a big warehouse or factory to rob it, and they shot the manager on duty? I remember the detective saying the poor guy had partial use of one side of his body, and no use of the other side. I forgot the rest of the details.

Might it be this? https://unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Vallejo_Armored_Car_Murders

I don't think it is what you are thinking of, but it came to mind.

I think this case is Michael Anthony Starr (https://unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Michael_Anthony_Starr). The victim was Mark Klavuhn. Sadly, Mark passed away in 2009 at the age of 48.

For some reason, this case was not included in the Filmrise release of the Stack episodes. I think it is on a Farina episode, however.
